I see that the article I found and posted just below explains the meaning of tunátya - that is, the first stage of manifesting, when we wish for, or hope for, and so are causing the unmanifest to manifest that which we wish for, launching the process of coming true.
However, I want to add, because that article does not mention it, the state of tunatyava - meaning comes true being hoped for.
I am quoting from Teachings From The American Earth - Indian Religion and Philosophy. Edited by Dennis Tedlock and Barbara Tedlock. This edition was published in 1975. I would imagine more recent editions would subtitle it Native American Religion and Philosophy.
