I did discover that Book One of From Darkness needed a change on its cover so it won't be available for a few days. Check back. I'll let you know when it is.
I haven't been on my computer for this last month because I didn't feel well. I will be posting more NDE Experiencers soon! And in the meantime I've decided to go all in with Amazon with a New One Volume Edition of FROM DARKNESS - Unabridged with 5 chapters originally written by candlelight with a quill pen that I took out not because I wanted to but to shorten the book - making the mistake of trying to please the agents and so shortchanging the readers. They've haunted me ever since. So, now you will be able to read the full Writer's Cut! Coming soon. Stay tuned!

I am fairly sure my dad was Irish although some think he may have been English. His last name was Martin but he and his brother were orphaned quite young and adopted by different families. Happily they found each other in their late twenties. But with my mom and dad gone now I can't get further info. I did find out online that the orphanage burned down with all its records.
I will say my father really lucked out with the people who adopted him. Dr. Charles Warren Stigman was a warm wonderful grandpa and his wife Bernice Chapman Stigman was a Brit and a former opera singer although I haven't found any record of her - yet! And she's the one who got me drawing as a child! Actually she showed me how to trace from her Vogue magazines! Anyone remember carbon paper? Ha! And her mother, great granny Chapman got me making up stories when I was about 4 years old! We would sit by a window and together make up stories about the neighbors and others we saw passing by! So that was the beginning of making up stories for me. Unfortunately not written down...I'd be curious what they were like. Well, again, a Happy St. PAddy's Day! Before I got the virus I was working a project for my day job fairly intensively. Although I did design a cover for my one volume unabridged edition of From DARKNESS that I hope you will think is cool! I still wonder if I should get a professional to design the cover. I did do graphic design for quite a while but not book cover design which is an art in itself. And I am curious what a designer would come up with! And a company called 99 designs is quite reasonable. I will wait to decide once I'm 100%.
Thank you all for stopping by although I haven't been around. However, there is a reason....
I've been struggling with a virus for 5 weeks now and no end in sight! It's called Shingles. If you have had, as I did chicken pox earlier in your life, when you get well, the virus stays with you (hides as my doctor said) and if you have some stress it comes back as shingles. Not that I noticed any more stress than usual. ...There's a rash caused by the virus attacking a nerve until it gets tired of that and then goes into hibernation hopefully forever. I have a mild case thank God. A slight rash on my forehead and eyebrow. At first my eye swelled nearly shut but it is back to normal. However the rash that one can barely see burns like heck and itches. And if I touch it, the pain is amazing. As my doctor said, "a pain unlike any other.". Intriguing actually. At first it was like showers of electrical sparks of pain. Now it's just constant. I'm treating it with some meds adding videos, lots of surfing, tostidos, and ice cream. Hagaan Daz, however they spell it, strawberry and chocolate. Also continual ice packs and cold wet cloths. It's really miserable. So that is why I haven't made any progress in the last 5 weeks nor stopped by here. I fell asleep last night at 10. Quite normal. But woke at 1am and have been up ever since. Will try to get some sleep now. And will be back as soon as I can...6:30am. |
