Yes, Lynn, it does feel strange, a feeling of awe actually, for me, how powerful our feelings remain over time. And I love your idea that they live in our souls. Of course they do! I just never thought of it that way. Just now it occurs to me that feelings are a path, or may create one, beween people no matter how far apart they are, even if one of them has passed on. It seems a kind of telepathy was going on during my experience. My emotion a call that was answered. Time only seems to enrich our deepest feelings. Life and love, time and eternity intertwined forever...
I think many of us feel a natural connection that persists after someone close to us has passed on. Of course, it's good for us to focus here, in our now, because that is where we are and we have things to do here. But our particular culture encourages us to close the door entirely on a mystery and we instinctively know there is much more to life than we see right now, and much more for us to learn, enjoy, and experience...
